We travelled to RAF Topcliffe in Thirsk today in the hope that, Sergeant Bradley Atherton, Corporal Daniel Murphy, Cadets Emma-Leigh Dawson, Megan Morris, Madeline Rigby and Erin Wilson, would qualify for their Blue Wings (Gliding).
Unfortunately the snow blowing horizontal across the runway soon put a stop to that.

However they will need to return to get the actual flight in and hopefully come away with their Wings.

Thanks to the Gliding School for their time.

The cadets had an authorised day off school and college on the Friday, to visit the RAF Air Traffic Control Training School.

Over the weekend cadets took part in L98A2 live firing, Sports Leaders and leadership tasks, all aiming for the relevant awards.
