Junior Cadet
Complete your initial squadron induction and training.
Second Class Cadet
Learn basic drill, security awareness, and complete your training logbook.
First Class Cadet
Complete foundational training in RAF history, airmanship, map reading, communications, and advanced drill.
Leading Cadet
Pass assessments in airmanship knowledge, navigation, and principles of flight.
Senior Cadet
Successfully complete three aviation subjects and pass online assessments.
Master Air Cadet
Complete advanced aviation training (three subjects) and assessments. Must be 15+ years old.

Specialist skills and qualifications
Aviation
Awarded for completing Blue Aviation training or participating in an induction flight.
Communications
Complete First Class Cadet plus 12 hours of radio training and pass assessment.
First Aid
Complete St John Ambulance Youth First Aid course and pass assessment.
Leadership
Complete leadership training course (may include overnight stay) at squadron or wing level.
Music
Pass a practical music assessment on your chosen instrument.
Nijmegen
Complete road marching training and successfully finish the international four-day Nijmegen march.
